Biotechnology misconception is disincentive to food security - Prof. Asare

Prof. Aaron Tettey Asare is an associate professor at UCC. He specializes in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. He believes Ghana must address misconceptions about biotechnology.

He argues that biotechnology can help achieve self-sufficiency and food security. The country should not miss out on the benefits it offers to agriculture.

Prof. Asare emphasized the importance of incorporating biotechnology into farming practices. He stated that we live in a globally interconnected world. No country can isolate itself, and Ghana needs to explore biotechnology for growth.

He shared these insights during a youth seminar at UCC last Friday.
