Black History Festival honours KOD

BIDEC INC, along with The Bridge Zone Global, visited Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD). He is the Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President of Ghana. They presented him with a Citation of Appreciation.

The meeting occurred at the Office of Diaspora Affairs in Jubilee House, Accra. This visit recognized KOD’s support for the Black History Festival 2025. The festival took place at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta.

Stephen Selasie Asuo, President of BIDEC INC, led the delegation. He expressed gratitude for KOD’s role in strengthening ties between Ghana's government and festival organizers. This effort boosted the festival’s global visibility and impact.

BIDEC INC also sought feedback from KOD on the recent festival. His insights and recommendations were well received. They will help improve future editions of the festival.

Discussions included new opportunities for collaboration between Diaspora Affairs and BIDEC INC. Both parties committed to enhancing diaspora engagement, tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and trade facilitation.

"This is just the beginning," Mr. Asuo stated. He expressed excitement about building a structured partnership with Diaspora Affairs. Their goal is to amplify the impact of future festivals and initiatives for mutual growth.

Mr. Okyere Darko praised BIDEC INC for their professionalism and innovation in organizing the festival. He encouraged stronger partnerships to ensure lasting benefits for Ghana and the African diaspora.

He suggested adding more entertainment and larger attendance to create a "ginger effect" for 2026. The meeting ended on an optimistic note regarding future events.

The next Black History Festival will be held from March 26 to 28, 2026, in Atlanta. Plans also include initiatives related to FIFA 2026 World Cup in North America aimed at leveraging African diaspora power for sustainable development and cultural celebration.
