Entertainment journalist Edem Mensah Tsotorme is optimistic about the Black Star Experience. He sees it as a promising step for Ghana's cultural and creative growth in Africa.

President John Dramani Mahama officially launched the Black Star Experience on Thursday, May 1. This initiative is part of his 120-day social contract. It aims to enhance national identity and leverage Ghana’s rich cultural heritage for economic development.
Tsotorme explained that this initiative relates to nation branding. Countries work to create a positive global image to boost trade and attract investment. “The Black Star Experience revolves around nation branding,” he noted.
He emphasized that a strong national reputation can draw investors and trade partners. “There is an economic impact on nation branding,” he added. A positive image attracts trade and investment, which is crucial for growth.
The Black Star Experience aims to unify Ghana’s arts, culture, tourism, and creative sectors. It positions the country as a leading destination for African excellence and innovation.
