Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo believes he can improve his performances. He scored a goal in Ghana's recent match against Chad. This match was part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Semenyo's goal was the first of five goals in that game. It was his third goal for the Black Stars in 21 matches since 2022. His last goal before this was against Angola in March 2023.
In an interview with Lawrence Baidoo for SuperSport, Semenyo expressed his desire to score more goals. He said, "I definitely want more goals." He acknowledged that players in attacking positions always seek to score more.
Semenyo reflected on his performances, saying some were decent while others were not great. He stated, "I'm quite humble. I know when I've played well and when I've played badly."
He admitted he hasn't been clutch for the national team but remains optimistic about improving. "It's just been very average," he noted, adding that he feels he can give more.
Semenyo hopes fans won't judge him based on his past games. "There's more to come," he said confidently.
After scoring against Chad, Semenyo aims to find the net again against Madagascar on March 24. The Black Stars hope to extend their lead in Group I of the World Cup Qualifiers during this match.
