Black Stars: Benjamin Asare, Kwame Opoku and Razak Simpson called up for Unity Cup in London

Three players from the Ghana Premier League have been invited to the Black Stars camp. They are Benjamin Asare, Razak Simpson, and Kwame Opoku. The camp is for the Unity Cup in London.

The players left Ghana last night for the tournament. This is the first edition of this friendly competition.

Asare is a goalkeeper for Hearts of Oak. He made his Black Stars debut in March during a World Cup qualifier against Chad. Since then, he has played two matches for the national team. He recently helped his team win against Accra Lions before heading to London.

Simpson plays for Nations FC, which is currently at the top of the league. However, he will miss their game against Samartex this weekend due to his call-up.

Opoku has also been a valuable player for Asante Kotoko. He will miss their match against Bibiani GoldStars this weekend as well.

Ghana's first game in the tournament is against Nigeria on May 28. One of these teams will play in either the third-place playoff or final on May 31.

Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica are also participating in the tournament.
