‘Blackmailer’ A Plus should be impeached immediately – Blakk Rasta declares

Blakk Rasta, a radio presenter, has called for the impeachment of Kwame Asare Obeng. He is better known as A Plus and serves as the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central.

Blakk Rasta's comments followed A Plus's admission on live TV. He revealed he accepted money to stop a campaign about waste management in Ghana. A Plus started this campaign after feeling defamed by Paul Adom-Otchere on his show, Good Evening Ghana.

On Channel One TV, A Plus explained his actions. He claimed Adom-Otchere accused him of taking GH₵250,000. He questioned why Adom-Otchere did not mention other NPP parliamentarians involved in similar issues.

A Plus stated he began the "Waste Management Must Be Decentralised" campaign to retaliate against Zoomlion. He felt that Metro TV was being used unfairly against him. He mentioned that he received calls from Zoomlion but ignored them.

He admitted to stopping the waste management campaign after receiving payment from Zoomlion. This payment was made to end his social media criticism of Adom-Otchere.

In response, Blakk Rasta condemned A Plus's behavior. He labeled him a blackmailer unfit for Parliament. Blakk Rasta expressed disappointment in A Plus and emphasized that MPs should serve the public good.

He criticized A Plus for acting unlawfully out of personal vengeance. Blakk Rasta stated that accepting money in this context is bribery and called for immediate impeachment.

He concluded by saying if an MP prioritizes personal grievances over public service, it must be addressed seriously with Parliament’s Speaker.
