The Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Johnson Pandit Kwasi Asiama, will appear before Parliament on March 5, 2025, to address concerns about the US$250 million BoG headquarters built by Goldkey Properties under Dr. Ernest Addison’s tenure.

The project, initially awarded for £81.8 million in 2020, saw costs rise to US$121 million and ultimately US$250 million.

Inaugurated by former President Akufo-Addo in November 2024, the 20-storey complex includes a banking hall and currency processing center.

The NDC has criticized the expenditure, calling it excessive amid Ghana’s economic challenges.

Goldkey Properties is also under scrutiny for a US$41 million contract for the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), raising concerns over cost variations and potential conflicts of interest.
