Boadi calls for independent scrutiny of Mahama’s 120-day achievements

Professor Isaac Boadi is the Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at the University of Professional Studies. He has raised concerns about President John Dramani Mahama’s administration. This is in relation to its 120-day social contract.

Boadi expressed skepticism about the Resetting Ghana Agenda. He shared his views during an appearance on the Asaase Breakfast Show on May 8.

He acknowledged some progress but criticized the government’s self-assessment. “Yes, some gains have been made,” he said. “But our independent assessment shows a very different picture — just about 36.12% of promises have been fulfilled.”

Boadi emphasized that the Resetting Agenda seemed to have stalled. He noted it appeared to be stuck before it could fully begin. “That raises doubts about not just readiness but competence to deliver transformative reforms,” he added.

The professor also questioned the administration's claim of a 72% success rate. He suggested this claim lacked independent scrutiny for clear evaluation. “There must be independent scrutiny, not self-assessment,” he stated, calling for objective analysis of accomplishments.
