Boahen Aidoo didn’t blame Russian govt for cocoa smuggling – COCOBOD clarifies

The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has refuted claims that its CEO, Joseph Boahen Aidoo, blamed the Russian government for cocoa smuggling.

In a statement, COCOBOD clarified that Aidoo's comments were about local smugglers working with foreign individuals, including some Russians in neighboring countries, not the Russian government.

COCOBOD emphasized the importance of accurate reporting to avoid diplomatic issues and reassured the public of ongoing efforts to combat cocoa smuggling with the help of local and international partners.
