Private legal practitioner Bobby Banson has expressed serious concern over allegations that members of Parliament's Appointments Committee are accepting money to influence the vetting of ministerial nominees.
Speaking on JoyNews' Newsfile on February 1, Banson condemned such practices, describing them as a severe blow to the country’s democracy. He emphasized that these actions, if proven true, undermine the integrity of Parliament and erode public trust.
Banson called for a thorough investigation into the allegations, stressing that accountability must be upheld.
He also urged Parliament to ensure more transparency in the vetting process and take decisive steps to prevent unethical practices that compromise democratic values.
