Bono: Heavy rainstorm destroys SDA JHS and Primary school in Bechem

A severe rainstorm has damaged the SDA Junior High and Primary School in Bechem. This school is located in the Tano South Municipality of the Bono Region.

The storm hit on March 27, 2025, between 3:30 and 4:00 pm. It destroyed roofing sheets on the JHS block and parts of primary classrooms.

Mr. Prince Agyemang Dua is the Public Relations Officer for GES in Tano South. He confirmed the incident and expressed concern about its impact on teaching. He said this destruction would disrupt learning in the coming days.

Mr. Dua appealed to the public and Parent Teacher Associations for support. They need help restoring the damaged infrastructure.

Mr. Joseph Appiah is the Assemblyman for the area. He called for immediate action to repair the damaged structures. He emphasized that academic activities must continue without interruption.

He urged local authorities and stakeholders to take urgent measures to address this situation.
