Boyfriend on the run – More details of nursing student who died in boyfriend’s room surfaces

New information has emerged about a nursing student who died. Gifty Kyere, 28, was in her boyfriend's room when she passed away. This incident occurred in Jinijini, Berekum, Bono Region. Her family is shocked by the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death.

Gifty was a final-year student at Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College. Her father, Pastor Kyere Jonathan, leads the Agape Evangelical Church in Jinijini. He said Gifty left home just a day before her death. She had collected her school fees and other items.

Pastor Kyere expressed disbelief that she went to her boyfriend’s house. Reports indicate that Edmond Ayomah, 23, is Gifty's boyfriend. He is currently on the run but has contacted people about turning himself in.

Initial reports claim he said Gifty had an asthma attack. He stated he could not afford to take her to the hospital. However, this claim has been disputed during investigations. Sources suggest he pressured Gifty to have an abortion, which may have led to her death.

The Ghana Police Service is investigating the incident further.
