Brig. Gen. Glover Ashong Annan appointed Commissioner of Customs

Brigadier General Glover Ashong Annan has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The presidency announced this in an official statement. The statement was signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications.

President John Dramani Mahama made the appointment. He is also the Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Brig. Gen. Annan is a senior officer in the Ghana Army. He previously served as the Presidential Security Coordinator.

He is expected to bring discipline and dedication to his new role. His work ethic aims to enhance efficiency in the Customs Division. This will support Ghana's economic recovery efforts.

The statement noted that he will help reset the Customs Division. He will also assist the GRA in meeting its targets for economic improvement.

The President thanked outgoing Commissioner Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo for his service to both the Customs Division and Ghana.
