Renowned shipping and aviation magnate Alhaji Asoma Banda has passed away at the age of 92.
His death, confirmed on March 1, marks the end of an era for Ghana’s business landscape.
Banda, the founder of Antrak Airlines, played a key role in transforming domestic air travel in Ghana and West Africa.
Tributes have poured in, with business leader Sam Jonah describing him as a visionary who saw opportunities where others saw obstacles.
His impact extended beyond business, serving as an inspiration for young entrepreneurs. In line with Islamic tradition, he will be buried today.
