Sylvester Agyen, a Ghanaian businessman, has filed a petition with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service. He alleges a GH₵600,000 contract fraud involving John Ntim Fordjour and two others.
Ntim Fordjour is the member of parliament for Assin South Constituency. Agyen claims he is owed GH₵200,000 by Fordjour and the others.
In his petition dated February 24, 2025, Agyen states he was defrauded while trying to secure a government contract. The contract was for constructing an AstroTurf pitch.
Agyen says that on March 30, 2024, Ntim Fordjour and the others approached him. They proposed to help him win the contract for a fee.
After receiving their offer, Agyen transferred the full amount to them. Three months later, he discovered no such contract existed in the Central Region.
Following this revelation, Agyen confronted Ntim Fordjour and the others. They agreed to refund him but have only returned GH₵400,000 so far.
Agyen reports that they still owe him GH₵200,000. He has tried contacting them multiple times without success.
They have blocked his calls and messages, making it hard for him to recover his money. Now, he is asking the CID to help retrieve the outstanding amount from them.
