C/R NPP condemns NIB over Ntim Fordjour’s arrest

The Central Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned recent events. They criticized the National Investigations Bureau's (NIB) attempt to arrest Rev. John Ntim Fordjour. This incident occurred at his home.

The NPP called the actions of security personnel “unwarranted, excessive, and politically insensitive.” They urged President Mahama to stop the intimidation of NPP members.

Richard Takyi-Mensah, the Central Regional NPP Secretary, spoke to the media in Cape Coast. He stated that this arrest attempt shows how the current administration uses state security against opposition members.

He emphasized that the NPP in the Central region will not tolerate intimidation. The party stands firmly behind its Members of Parliament to ensure they can perform their duties lawfully.
