The Minority in Parliament has raised concerns about a recent raid. They are questioning its legality, targeting former government appointees. They accuse Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine of abusing his office.
On March 24, Second Deputy Minority Whip Jerry Ahmed Shaib spoke to journalists. He criticized how the operation was conducted and noted that basic legal procedures were ignored.
He claimed that brute force was used against private security during the raid. He also alleged that key evidence was deliberately removed. "The CCTV camera was dismantled and taken away," he stated.
Ahmed Shaib emphasized the need for transparency in law enforcement. He argued that the raid lacked proper legal backing, which undermines trust in the justice system.
He questioned why a court-issued warrant was not presented during the operation. "The failure to follow basic procedures casts doubt on legality and intent," he said. He insisted that no amount of legal manipulation can change the facts of the situation.
