The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has called off its three-week strike following a decision made during a virtual National Council meeting on January 24, 2025.
The suspension comes after progress on the migration of staff to the University Salary Structure, as part of the National Labour Commission’s (NLC) Arbitration Awards.
A key factor in this development was the new Minister of Education's commitment to resolving pending issues with CETAG.
However, several concerns remain unresolved, including payments for additional work done in 2022 and outstanding allowances for 2023/2024.
CETAG thanked members for their unwavering support and assured them that efforts to address the issues would continue.
