CJ's suspension will restore judiciary’s glory – Tanko-Computer

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) supports the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo. The party sees this as a necessary step to restore credibility in the judiciary.

Dr. Rashid Tanko-Computer, NDC's Deputy Director of Elections and Information Technology, defended the decision. He spoke during an interview on JoyNews’ The Pulse on Tuesday. He stated that the suspension aims to cleanse and dignify the judicial system.

He emphasized the need to sanctify the judiciary. “We must do the right thing,” he said. “We want to bring back the glory of the judiciary.”

Dr. Tanko-Computer stressed that public trust is essential for the judiciary. He believes they must earn respect through impartial rulings. “Their decisions will be respected henceforth,” he noted.

He also commended President John Mahama for his decisive action. The NDC is "very much happy" with the suspension, he added.
