CJ Suspension demo: Check out Tema West residents’ unique outfit (Photos)

On Monday, May 5, 2025, a demonstration took place. It protested the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo. The event saw a large turnout of participants.

Some residents from Tema West wore unique outfits. Instead of red and black t-shirts, they chose red judicial robes. They also wore wigs to complete their look.

The protest was called the #SaveTheJudiciary demonstration. It was organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Other political parties joined in support. These included the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), National Democratic Party (NDP), People’s National Party (PNP), and Ghana Union Movement (GUM).

Protesters aimed to urge the government to lift the Chief Justice's suspension immediately.
