The War Memorial Hospital in Navrongo will be upgraded to a teaching hospital.
This upgrade will allow for a medical school at the Clement Kubindiwor Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS).
The goal is to train qualified healthcare professionals. They will conduct research and improve healthcare access in the region.
Professor Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, Director General of the Ghana Health Service, announced this on Friday. He spoke in Navrongo after a request from Pe Asagpaare Aneakwoa Balinia Adda II.
The Paramount Chief urged him to support these projects promised by President John Dramani Mahama before the 2024 elections.
