The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has vowed to "strongly resist" any partisan appointments in the Civil Service and Local Government Service under the incoming government.
Speaking at their Thanksgiving Service in Accra, Executive Secretary Mr. Isaac Bampoe Addo emphasized the importance of neutrality and adherence to the Supreme Court ruling, which prohibits civil servants from owing their appointments to political activities.
CLOGSAG also expressed concern over the "winner takes all" system and called for a reevaluation of governance structures.
Additionally, Mr. Addo highlighted the inefficiency in addressing illegal mining, urging local authorities to take the lead in tackling the issue, and assured members that salary structure negotiations were ongoing.
