CMC MD engages OFI to deepen cocoa sector collaboration and drive economic growth

In a strategic move to boost Ghana’s cocoa industry, Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey has engaged with OFI Food Ingredients (OFI). He is the new Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC). OFI is a key client and a global leader in cocoa.

The meeting took place at OFI’s facility in Kumasi. Dr. Dogbey and his team received a warm welcome from OFI executives. They toured the facility and discussed ways to strengthen their partnership.

Dr. Dogbey emphasized building a resilient cocoa supply chain. He highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships, innovation, and sustainability. “We have a unique opportunity to grow together,” he stated.

They discussed joint initiatives to improve product quality and operational efficiency. Dr. Dogbey praised OFI’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. He noted that both organizations share similar values.

“We are committed to responsible sourcing of cocoa beans,” he said during the tour. The visit also allowed for discussions on global market trends and consumer preferences. Dr. Dogbey stressed the need for innovation to stay competitive.
