COCOBOD Case: Test report being relied upon to prosecute Opuni, Agongo has no scientific grounds – Witness

In the ongoing trial of Dr. Stephen Opuni, it has emerged that the prosecution's fertilizer test report lacks scientific grounding.

Dr. Samuel Akoto Bamford, a Principal Research Scientist, testified that the report by Quartey-Papafio is unreliable, with insufficient and contradictory results.

He pointed out that the analytical techniques used were intended for water analysis, not fertilizers, making the findings inaccurate and unsuitable.

In contrast, the Material Science Report, relied upon by the defense, follows prescribed standards and provides reliable results for fertilizer analysis.

Dr. Bamford's testimony could have a significant impact on the trial, which involves charges like financial loss to the state and money laundering.
