COCOBOD, led by CEO Joseph Boahen Aidoo, has come under fire for rushing a $13.1 million payment to Awo Henewah Limited for fertilizer supplies, defying directives from the Mahama Transition Team.

The Transition Team had instructed all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to halt last-minute payments, recruitments, and promotions pending clearance. However, COCOBOD reportedly ignored this mandate.

Insiders revealed that intense pressure is being exerted within COCOBOD to expedite the payment, even as suppliers with outstanding invoices for over two years remain unpaid.

The Mahama Transition Team has vowed to reverse such payments and hold officials accountable for actions that undermine the transition process.

This development raises concerns about transparency and adherence to due process during the critical handover period.
