The legal team for EOCO Executive Director COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has formally demanded a retraction and apology from TV3 after security analyst Dr. Adam Bonaa made defamatory remarks on their platform.
Dr. Bonaa accused COP Addo-Danquah of incompetence and corruption in handling the Takoradi missing girls case and alleged collusion with criminal gangs, including “Sakawa boys.”
In a letter from Ahmed Legal Consult, the claims were labeled false and damaging, threatening her professional reputation and EOCO’s integrity. The lawyers highlighted the successful prosecution of suspects in the missing girls case under her CID leadership in 2021.
The letter warns TV3 of legal action if they fail to retract and apologize, citing their responsibility for airing unverified claims. TV3 has yet to respond.
