North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has alleged that key figures involved in the $108 million ambulance scandal, linked to President Nana Akufo-Addo's daughters, have fled Ghana.
He claims Stephen Okereke Elendu Kalu Okoro, Frank Agyekum Boateng, and Vivian Oppong Kyekyeku left the country ahead of the 2024 elections, with destinations including the UK, the US, and New York.
Ablakwa stated that Okoro, a business associate of Akufo-Addo's daughters, departed on November 27, while Boateng and Kyekyeku left on November 26 and August 31, respectively. He emphasized they have not returned since.
The scandal involves alleged financial mismanagement, with over $34.9 million spent on ambulance spare parts exceeding the cost of new ambulances. Ablakwa accused the government of sole-sourcing the contract, a claim denied by Service Ghana Auto Group, which insists the deal was competitive.
