Captain Smart bashed for inciting youth of Obuasi to attack AGA mine

Television personality Captain Smart has come under scrutiny after a viral video showed him allegedly inciting youth in Obuasi to invade the AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) mine.

In the video, he urged the youth to "attack the mine and take what you want," criticizing AGA for alleged exploitation and environmental damage.

The remarks have drawn condemnation, including from Vim Lady, who criticized Smart for fueling tensions that reportedly contributed to a clash between illegal miners and military personnel guarding the mine.

Seven illegal miners were killed during the confrontation, with others injured or fleeing.

The Ghana Armed Forces stated their actions were in response to an attack by the miners.

The controversy has sparked debates about leadership, corporate responsibility, and security measures.
