Cassandra Twum Ampofo is the Head of Public Relations at the Ghana Education Service (GES). She has been recognized as one of Ghana’s top Public Relations Officers. This is her third time being listed among the Top 10 Women in PR Ghana. Her recognition solidifies her status in the PR and communications industry.
The acknowledgment is organized by Women in PR Ghana. It honors women who excel in communications and public relations. These women play key roles in campaigns and brand storytelling.
Cassandra first made the list in 2019 and again in 2020. Her inclusion highlights her contributions to strategic communication and stakeholder engagement.
Upon receiving this honor, Cassandra expressed gratitude. She stated, “This achievement is not just mine—it’s proof that dedication, passion, integrity, and consistency pay off.” She thanked Women in PR for the recognition and acknowledged her colleagues and mentors.
Cassandra encouraged female PROs in the public sector. She said, “Let this be a reminder that your work matters. Your voice is powerful, and your impact is undeniable. Keep pushing boundaries.”
A news release on Women in PR Ghana’s website detailed their selection process. A six-member jury evaluated nominees based on innovation, leadership, strategic thinking, mentorship, and digital platform use.
In the 2024 edition of Top 10 Women in PR Ghana, there were 26 nominations from the PR community. The jury reviewed entries based on specific criteria:
- Must have at least six years of experience.
- Must have executed successful campaigns.
- Must have used various media to share their work.
- Must have received nominations or awards.
- Must have engaged in speaking opportunities.
- Must have mentored other PR professionals.
- Must have led campaigns informing the public about PR.
Cassandra's recognition underscores the vital role of PR professionals. They shape public discourse and foster engagement between institutions and the public.
Other honorees include Esther Cobbah, Sophia Kudjordji, Ivy Heward Mills, Shirley Tony Kum, Georgina Asare Fiagbenu, Emma Wenani, Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson, and Maame Akua Amoah Twum.
Women in Public Relations Ghana is a professional networking organization. It aims to educate, mentor, and empower female PR professionals and students. The organization was established in May 2017 by Ms Faith Senam Ocloo.
