Catholic Bishops, Christian Council protest omission from National Education Forum

The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC) and the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) have voiced their disappointment over their exclusion from the National Education Forum scheduled for February 18-19, 2025.

In a joint statement issued on February 17, 2025, the religious bodies, which manage numerous schools across the country, expressed concern that their absence from the forum could undermine efforts to address Ghana’s educational challenges.

They emphasized the need for inclusive dialogue in reforming the sector, noting their significant role in providing quality education, especially in underserved communities.

The GCBC and CCG have called on the Ministry of Education to reconsider their exclusion and include them in the crucial discussions.
