The Catholic University of Ghana has honored Prof. Kwesi Yankah. He is the former Minister of State for Tertiary Education. The university recognized his contributions to its development.

Prof. Yankah is a distinguished academic and author in Ghana. He specializes in linguistics and oral literature, focusing on communication ethnography. He has held several key roles at the University of Ghana.
These roles include Dean of Students and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs. In 2011, he became President of Central University. There, he worked with Rev. Prof. Addow Obeng, who was Pro Vice-Chancellor at that time.
Prof. Yankah is also a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences since 1999. He has authored many influential academic texts throughout his career. The Catholic University credits his mentorship as vital to its journey toward autonomy.
