Cecilia Dapaah never received $43M for Odaw River dredging – Aide

The aide to former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Dapaah has refuted claims that $43 million allocated for dredging the Odaw River was misappropriated.

In a statement, Mr. Kofi Mensah described the accusations as baseless and malicious, clarifying that $42.2 million was allocated to the Ministry of Sanitation under the GARID Project for solid waste management.

He emphasized the funds remain under ministry control, with procurement processes ongoing during Madam Dapaah’s tenure.

Mr. Mensah also dismissed rumors of her fleeing the country, affirming she remains active locally. He urged the public to verify facts and avoid spreading falsehoods.
