Cedi’s appreciation against all major trading currencies hits record high

The local currency has reached its strongest performance against major currencies.

This is a significant turnaround from recent years of sharp depreciation.

It marks an all-time high in percentage terms.

According to the Bank of Ghana, the cedi has appreciated by:
- 24.1% against the US dollar
- 16.2% against the British Pound
- 14.1% against the Euro
