Dr. John Osae-Kwapong, a Fellow at the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), has strongly called for those responsible for the disruptions during Thursday’s ministerial vetting to be held personally accountable for the damage caused.
Speaking on the JoyNews AM Show, Dr. Osae-Kwapong emphasized that the state should not bear the cost of the destruction of furniture and equipment, which occurred during a heated exchange between the Majority and Minority groups in Parliament.
He urged that the individuals involved face consequences to send a strong message and deter future disruptions.
Dr. Osae-Kwapong also expressed hope that the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, would intervene and address the improper conduct of those involved, ensuring such incidents are not repeated.
