The 2025 Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Week has been launched in Kumasi, with a call for legal professionals, business leaders, and the public to adopt ADR as a key mechanism for resolving commercial disputes.

Representing the Chief Justice, Court of Appeal Judge Angelina Mensah Homiah stressed ADR’s effectiveness in reducing court congestion and ensuring economic stability.

The Chief Justice’s address highlighted mediation, arbitration, and negotiation as efficient alternatives to litigation, preserving business relationships and lowering costs.

Currently, ADR is integrated into 138 courts nationwide, including 29 in the Ashanti Region.

This year’s ADR Week will feature engagements with legal and justice sector stakeholders, reinforcing its role in delivering fair and swift commercial justice in Ghana.
