During his visit, videos circulated on social media claiming he had been shot.

On April 25, 2025, the Ghana Armed Forces issued a statement.

They urged the public to disregard these false reports.

The statement warned bloggers and content creators to be careful with their reporting.

Misinformation about the Ghana Armed Forces could have serious consequences.
