Chip-embedded passport not creation of current govt  - Abdulai Jinapor

Samuel A. Jinapor is a ranking member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. He stated that the new chip-embedded passport is not from the current government.

He explained that the previous government initiated this project. The current administration cannot take credit for it.

Mr. Jinapor emphasized that this project took several years to develop. It began long before the current administration took office.

The chip-embedded passport was launched on Monday, April 28, 2025.
