Christian all over country mark Palm Sunday

Christians across the country observed Palm Sunday yesterday. They participated in various church activities ahead of Easter this week.

Palm Sunday is an important Christian holiday. It celebrates Jesus Christ's entry into Jerusalem. This event is described in the four Gospels. The holiday falls on the Sunday before Easter and marks Holy Week, the last week of Lent.

Different denominations in the capital held activities to celebrate the day.

Agnes Opoku Sarpong reports that the Fritz Ramseyer Memorial Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Bubiashie marked Palm Sunday with a strong message. The message encouraged Christians to stay faithful during trials and suffering.
