Citizen Eye Ghana lauds Julius Debrah for leadership style and economic impact

Alex Tetteh, President of Citizen Eye Ghana, praised Chief of Staff Julius Debrah. He recognized Debrah's loyalty to President John Dramani Mahama. Tetteh also highlighted Debrah's role in Ghana’s economic recovery.

In an interview with Okay FM, Tetteh credited Debrah for stabilizing the cedi. He noted that Debrah helped build investor confidence in the country.

Tetteh appreciated Debrah’s efforts to engage the business community. He mentioned initiatives like the Kwahu Business Forum as examples.

“Others claimed to be economic experts but caused currency depreciation,” he said. “Julius Debrah focuses on results rather than just words.”

He criticized Bawumia for not acting while the cedi fell to historic lows. “The evidence of failure is public record,” he added.

Tetteh praised Debrah’s political experience under former presidents Rawlings, Mills, and Mahama. He believes this background prepares him for national leadership.

“He has learned from the best in governance,” Tetteh remarked. “His experience goes beyond theory; it is practical governance.”

He recalled Debrah’s time as local government minister. This role advanced decentralization and rural empowerment significantly.

“That ministry shaped him into a servant of the grassroots,” Tetteh said. “His understanding of governance connects deeply with helping people.”

Tetteh warned the NPP not to underestimate Kennedy Agyapong's support base in upcoming elections.

“The NPP must respect their grassroots’ will,” he stated. “Kennedy Agyapong is the people's choice.”

He cautioned against any rigging or manipulation within the party. Such actions could destabilize them and lead to another loss.

“If NPP fails to ensure fairness, 2024 will be minor compared to 2028,” he warned.

“We will not watch injustice harm our democracy,” he continued. “If fairness isn’t upheld, we’ll support a credible alternative like Julius Debrah.”

Tetteh concluded by noting President Mahama's trust in Julius Debrah for sensitive tasks, including managing controversies involving Sammy Gyamfi.
