A viral video claiming that President Nana Akufo-Addo was rushed to Nyaho Medical Centre has been debunked as false.

The footage, shared widely on Facebook, is from November 2019, showing the President visiting NPP stalwart Tommy Amematekpor, who was hospitalized at the clinic.

The misleading claim, shared by Facebook users such as Sadia Alhassan and Gh AfroMedia House, sparked significant online engagement and speculation.

However, a verification process using InVID and Google reverse image search confirmed the video’s original context.

Further disproving the claim, President Akufo-Addo attended the commissioning of a STEM school in East Legon on December 27, 2024.

Official sources, including a statement from the Presidency’s Director of Communications, confirmed the President’s good health.

The circulating claim is categorically false.
