Henry Nana Boakye, known as Nana B, is the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He has addressed allegations that Frederick Opare-Ansah, the NPP’s Campaign Manager for the 2024 elections, slapped him.
Reports claimed that Opare-Ansah reacted after Nana B allowed Kennedy Agyapong to speak at an NPP event. In response, Nana Boakye emphasized that the party's focus is on unity and grassroots engagement.
On Facebook, he denied any altercation with Opare-Ansah. He stated that claims of a physical confrontation are false. He described these reports as baseless fabrications.
Nana B praised Opare-Ansah's character, calling him a respected individual. He reiterated their commitment to strengthening the party through a thank-you tour across Ghana.
This tour aims to unite the NPP and prepare for a demonstration in Accra on May 5, 2025.
In reaction to his post, some Ghanaians commented skeptically. One user asked about a video showing them discussing together. Another joked about whether he was actually slapped or not.
A third commenter claimed they witnessed the incident and urged him to be cautious in future events. Lastly, another person expressed disbelief in politicians' honesty regarding demonstrations and future elections.
