Climate expert cautions public against use of tainted glasses in residential buildings

Richard Adu-Poku is a climate change expert. He warns against using ‘tainted glasses’ in homes.

These glasses absorb a lot of heat. This can worsen climate conditions and cause health issues.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr. Adu-Poku shared his concerns. He is also the Executive Director of Livelihood and Environment Ghana, an NGO focused on the environment.

He explained that extreme heat can lead to infertility in men. Men living in high heat are less likely to impregnate their partners.

“The semen requires certain temperatures to function effectively,” he said. If we can't manage home heat, it affects our ability to conceive.

Mr. Adu-Poku urged the public to support government actions on climate change. He emphasized that droughts related to climate change impact food security and health significantly.
