Cloudy skies and thunderstorms expected today — GMET warns

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) forecasts mostly cloudy weather today. Mist or fog may develop in coastal, forested, and mountainous areas this morning.

As the day goes on, many regions will see cloudy skies. There will be occasional sunshine throughout the day.

Residents should prepare for possible thunderstorms or rain showers later. These may occur from the afternoon into the evening.

Today's temperatures will be relatively warm across all areas. Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 23°C to 25°C. Maximum temperatures will vary between 33°C and 38°C.

Coastal areas will have minimum and maximum temperatures of 24°C and 33°C. Forest zones will experience temperatures between 24°C and 34°C. Transition zones will see temperatures from 23°C to 36°C. The northern sector will be the hottest, ranging from 25°C to 38°C.

GMET advises commuters and outdoor workers to take precautions today. Wet roads and reduced visibility may occur during rainfall and misty conditions.

Motorists should drive carefully in these conditions. Farmers and event organizers are encouraged to monitor GMET updates throughout the day.
