Cocaine, galamsey, and dumsor under Mahama likened to a nuclear warhead—Akbar

Akbar Yussif Rohullah Khomeini is a member of the New Patriotic Party's communications team. He is worried about rising crime in Ghana. This concern comes just three months after the new government took over.

He points to recent cocaine busts and illegal mining as major issues. Khomeini believes these developments are alarming for the new administration.

In a social media post, he highlighted significant cocaine seizures. "In March alone, cocaine worth 470 million dollars entered Ghana," he stated. The first arrest occurred on March 4th, and another on March 28th.

Khomeini noted that a flight from a drug trade island arrived during this time. He said it took the minority party to alert the nation about this issue.

He compared the situation to a nuclear warhead. "Cocaine mixed with galamsey and dumsor is like a nuclear warhead," he warned. "We cannot afford to launch such a warhead on ourselves."
