A five-member committee will investigate petitions against Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo.
President John Mahama established the committee, which begins hearings on Thursday, May 15.
Supreme Court Justice Gabriel Scott Pwamang chairs the committee.
The formation follows a prima facie case against the Chief Justice.
It was created in consultation with the Council of State.
The committee will meet three times a week.
It will submit findings and recommendations to the President after its work.
Chief Justice Torkornoo is under investigation due to five misconduct petitions.
In response, President Mahama suspended her and appointed this committee for inquiry.
