Copies of the petition against the CJ did not leak from the Presidency – Beatrice Annan

Beatrice Annan, a member of the NDC Communication Team, spoke on Metro TV. She stated that the presidency did not leak copies of petitions about the chief justice's removal.

Annan said, "I am at the Presidency, but I haven't seen a copy of the petition." She added that she has not reviewed any of the five petitions with the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee.

She emphasized that the petition was treated as highly confidential. "The petition was treated like a state secret," she explained. Although received months ago, no one at the presidency saw its contents.

Annan noted that the timing of the leak suggests it did not come from them. "Copies started circulating after the Chief Justice received her copies," she said. "If there is any leakage, it certainly would not be from us."

When pressed further, Annan affirmed her position. "It’s not possible for a leak to have come from us," she stated. She mentioned that for weeks nobody knew about the petition after it was received.

She questioned why the President would leak a petition he had for over a month. "It just doesn’t add up," she said.

Annan urged careful examination of events surrounding the leak. "Those referring to the content should tell us where they got their copies," she suggested. If she hasn’t seen it, then it likely did not come from them.
