Former Auditor General Daniel Yaw Domelevo has criticized public officials for misappropriating state funds, stating that corruption is not just suspicion but backed by evidence.
Speaking on JoyNews, he referenced Auditor General’s reports, showing repeated financial misconduct by officeholders.
He questioned how some officials, despite modest salaries, amass immense wealth within a few years in office.
Domelevo also revealed that even top judges, including a former Chief Justice, failed to comply with asset declaration laws.
He condemned CHRAJ for failing to enforce penalties, arguing that ignoring asset declaration laws is unconstitutional.
Domelevo likened it to a president assuming office without being sworn in, emphasizing the need for accountability in governance.
