Court eases bail terms for former NSB boss amid EOCO probe

An Accra High Court has changed the bail conditions for Kwabena Adu-Boahene.

He is the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB). The court reduced his bail from GHS120 million to GHS80 million.

His wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, still has a GHS80 million bail. She must provide two sureties who need to be justified.

Both are required to report to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) three times a week. Their travel is restricted, needing EOCO's approval for any trips outside the country.

The couple faces investigations into financial misconduct allegations. These include fraud, embezzlement, and illicit transactions.

Adu-Boahene led the NSB from 2017 until February 2025. He is accused of misappropriating significant public funds.

Their lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, expressed hope that they would meet the new bail terms successfully.
