South Dayi MP, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has defended the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, dismissing claims of illegality by critics, including former Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu.

Speaking on TV3’s Key Points, he cited Article 41(f) of the 1992 Constitution, which mandates citizens to protect public resources. He argued that the committee, tasked with evidence gathering on alleged corruption, operates within legal bounds.

Established by President Mahama, ORAL focuses on recovering looted state resources and supporting anti-corruption efforts.

While critics question its transparency and operations, Mr. Dafeamekpor insists the initiative aligns with constitutional values and serves the public’s interest.

He dismissed opposition claims as baseless, urging constructive dialogue on the committee’s work.
