The newspaper insists its publication accurately reflects the remarks made by Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu during a meeting with the Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF).

While the Ministry argues that the Minister only discussed the possibility of an enhanced loan scheme, Daily Graphic maintains that his statements implied an eventual phase-out of the allowances.
